Eyelash degreaser is a product that every lash technician should use. Why?

In order for the glue to bond quickly and effectively to the natural lash, the natural lash must be completely free of oil, as oil is naturally acidic and all lash adhesives are also acidic. Acid + acid does not react with each other, and therefore, no bonding can occur. You’ve all experienced that situation where the extension “slips” on the natural lash. For bonding to happen, the lash must be neutral or alkaline.

The degreaser thoroughly cleanses the lash of oil and neutralizes it.

Since oil secretion happens constantly (24/7), degreasing must be done right before lash application (after other preparations like lash cleaning, applying gel pads and tapes, drawing the design). Additionally, if oil secretion is very active, degreasing must also be done during the procedure (if you feel the lash starts to “slip”). Interesting fact: the most active oil secretion occurs from morning until noon.

P.S. For clients with oily skin, degreasing must be done 2-4 times during the procedure.

Usage:
Take a microbrush and a wooden stick. Apply a drop of degreaser on the microbrush (ensure the brush is not too wet or dripping) and place the wooden stick under the lashes. Clean the oil onto the wooden stick with the brush, starting from the root area. It is the root area, where the extension attaches, that must be free of oil. Use at least 2 microbrushes per eye, as one brush will quickly become oily.

The degreaser is alcohol-based. It doesn’t speed up the glue if you allow a couple of minutes for the alcohol to evaporate.

It is compatible with all types of glue.
